CDC Recommendations for Lead Poisoning Prevention in Newly Arrived Refugee Children (May 2005)
All refugee children ages 6 months through 16 years should receive an initial venous blood lead test within the first 30 days of arrival and a follow-up test 3-6 months after the initial screen. Please refer to the HEALTH's Refugee Lead Screening Guidelines.
