Refugee Health Definitions WORD
Definitions of commonly used terminology in refugee health and resettlement

Cultural Profiles
The Refugee Health Program has developed cultural profiles for the major refugee populations being resettled in the state. These profiles are neither exhaustive nor uniformly applicable. Readers must keep in mind that every individual is unique and will respond to their experiences differently. The information presented in the profiles is meant to facilitate understanding and prompt further inquiry.

Refugee Health Providers’ Manual
The Refugee Health Program published the Refugees Health Providers’ Manual. This publication offers an overview of Refugee Resettlement, the Health Screening Process, General Cultural Consideration for Refugees, the Health Status of Children, Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services, and five Cultural Profiles. For further information, please contact the Refugee Health Program at: (401) 222-7638.

RI Refugee Health Screening Form
The RI Refugee Health Screening Form is a tool for medical providers to use when screening refugees and in making other health referrals as needed. Medical providers can obtain additional copies of the tri-part screening forms by contacting the Refugee Health Program at 401-222-2901. The downloadable Word file is available here for reference purposes.
