Data & Evaluation Projects

Minority Health Fact Sheets
In 2005, the OMH updated its series of minority health fact sheets. These fact sheets provide socio-demographic data and a health status profile for each racial and ethnic minority group in the Rhode Island. In addition a general minority health fact sheet provides information on the overall health status of the minority community as a whole.

Minority Health Data Symposium
The OMH periodically holds minority health data symposiums. These symposiums are held in order to educate community groups and health care providers about minority health issues and sources of minority health data.

  • Minority Health Data Symposium Report, 1998

Minority Health Data Collection
The OMH worked in collaboration with the Office of Health Statistics to produce an updated Minority Health Data Collection Policy and a trend analysis of minority health. Plans for the future include the development of a Minority Health Surveillance program and the production of an annual report on the health status of minorities in RI.

Minority Health Data Reports

  • Minority Health Data Symposium Report, 1998
  • Priorities for Improving Minority Health Data, 1995
