Training & Technical Assistance

The OMH provides on-going technical assistance to funded community-based agencies through bi-monthly meetings. In addition, the OMH conducts program evaluation workshops to assist funded agencies in developing meaningful evaluation reports. The OMH periodically organizes videoconferences and other training sessions on minority health for HEALTH staff, community-based organizations and other interested groups. The OMH is available to provide training and technical assistance to non-funded agencies as well. Please Contact Us.

April is National Minority Health Month, a nationally-recognized campaign to raise awareness of racial and ethnic health disparities and to launch year-round initiatives to eliminate these disparities. The Rhode Island Department of Health is joining this public education effort, reinforcing the state’s commitment to eliminate health disparities.
