Health Care Planning And Accountability Advisory Council

Adelita Orefice, Deputy Secretary of the Office of Health and Human Services, and Dr. David R. Gifford, Director of the Department of Health, who has been identified in statute as co-chairs of this Council, are convening the first meeting of the Health Care Planning And Accountability Advisory Council on June 24th, 2008. Because the Council’s work is contingent on funding, no additional meetings are planned at this time. One of the topics on the agenda is the identification of funding opportunities for health planning.

  • Dawn Wardyga, consumer representative nominated from among health care consumer advocacy groups
  • Rick Harris, consumer representative nominated from among health care consumer advocacy groups
  • Anthony Regine, consumer representative nominated from among health care consumer advocacy groups
  • Linda Lulli, consumer representative nominated from among the business community
  • Ramon Martinez, consumer representative nominated from among the minority community with an understanding of access issues
  • Diane Siedlecki, physician nominated from among the primary care speciality societies
  • K. Nicholas Tsiongas, physician nominated from among the speciality societies
  • Mary Dwyer, nurse or allied professional nominated from among their trade organizations
  • Hugh Hall, nursing home administrator nominated from among a long-term care provider organization
  • William Michael Johnson, provider from among the community mental health organizations
  • Maria Montanaro, provider from among the community health centers
  • Dr. Terrie Fox Wetle, representative from a health professional learning institution
  • Christopher F. Koller, Health Insurance Commissioner
  • Gary D. Alexander, Director, Department of Human Services
