These links from the Rhode Island Department of Health provide data on health topics from selected health data sets in graphical format, data tables and full reports:
Adolescent Substance Abuse Survey (ASAS)
A survey of students in grades 7-12 that measures the level of substance use of tobacco, alcohol, marijuana, and other licit and illicit substances, as well as other related information on perceptions of risk and approval toward the use of such substances.
Annual Report of Vital Statistics
These reports contain data that has been derived from certificates filed in the Division of Vital Records, as required by state law, for vital events such as births, deaths, marriages, divorces and fetal deaths occurring in Rhode Island. Information was also extracted from transcripts of certificates filed in other states for births and deaths occurring to Rhode Island residents in other locales.
Behavioral Risk Factor Survey (BRFS)
Measures a number of health risk behaviors among RI adults 18 years and older, including alcohol consumption, diabetes, healthcare access, health status, mammograms, nutrition, pap smears, and weight control.
Cancer Registry: Statistics
The Registry produces official cancer statistics for the State, including an annual report which is posted on this website, and also supplies cancer data to researchers.
Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Data
Includes environmental data, surveillance and annual summary.
Communicable Diseases
A communicable disease is any condition which is transmitted directly or indirectly to a person from an infected person or animal through an intermediate animal, host, or vector, or through the inanimate environment including hepatitis, lyme disease, and meningitis.
Crash Outcome Data Evaluation System (CODES) 
A research effort that seeks to link records from motor vehicle crashes to Hospital discharge data in order to measure the morbidity, mortality and hospital costs that result from these crashes.
Diabetes Statistics in Rhode Island
Includes the Diabetes Fact Sheet for Rhode Island (2002) and data from the Behavioral Risk Factor Survey (BRFS).
Emergency Department (ED) and Observation (OBS) Data
Data on emergency department visits and observation stays from licensed acute care hospitals in Rhode Island, including patient demographics, clinical items and hospital charges. Can be used to measure health status and outcomes, ED utilization, access to health care, for injury surveillance and other public health purposes. Public use data files will be made available. Data collection began with discharges occurring on or after January 1, 2005.
Hospital Discharge Data (HDD)
Data on inpatient discharges from licensed acute care hospitals in Rhode Island, including patient demographics, clinical items, and hospital charges.
Can be used to measure health status and outcomes, health care utilization, and access to health care, and for other public health purposes. Public use data files are available.

Rhode Island Health Interview Survey (RI-HIS) 
Measures a wide variety of health topics on adults and children, including health status, health-care access and utilization, and healthcare coverage.
Rhode Island HEALTH Web Data Query System
The Rhode Island HEALTH Web Data Query System allows health professionals, community agencies, Rhode Island Department personnel, and the general public to create custom tables and graphs of Rhode Island Public Health Data. Development of this system is supported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Assessment Initiative Cooperative Agreement.
Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS)
A survey of students in grades 9-12 that measures health risk behaviors which contribute to injuries; tobacco, alcohol and other drug use; unintended pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases (STDs); unhealthy dietary behaviors; and physical inactivity.
Youth Tobacco Survey (YTS)
A survey of students in grades 6-8 and 9-12 that measures the use of a variety of tobacco products as well as exposure to tobacco smoke and knowledge and attitudes regarding tobacco use and advertising.
