To measure public support for making outdoor areas 100% smokefree
Public opinion data from Rhode Island residents
These data were collected between August and November, 2012
More than 900 Rhode Island residents from 30 communities, representing both smokers and non-smokers, were asked to rate how supportive they would be if different outdoor areas were designated smoke free. Overall, respondents, including those who smoke, favored such bans.
Note The beach question was not asked of all respondents.
