Lyme Disease

Distribution: Found in the Rocky Mountain States and southwestern Canada.

Description: Adults roughly 2.1-6.1 mm unengorged and up to 16.5 mm engorged, brown and gray in color.  Larvae start at .6 mm long.

Habitat: Found outdoors in low vegetation.

Animal Hosts: Rodents (larvae and nymphs), sheep, cattle, deer, humans, etc.

Diseases Carries: Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, Colorado Tick Fever, and Tularemia (Rabbit Fever)
