Pneumonia Surveillance Logs

Dear School Nurse Teacher,

We would like to thank you for your participation in our pneumonia related illness surveillance. The last day to report pneumonia in students is January 31, 2007. Please forward any outstanding Pneumonia Surveillance Logs for the month of January to us by February 5, 2007 at 222-2488. If you have any questions, please call Tara Cooper at 222-2577.

Please note, the Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are continuing a prospective study in four elementary schools associated with the investigation of Mycoplasma pneumoniae from earlier this month.

As always, we appreciate the ongoing partnership with the school nurse teachers of Rhode Island in keeping our children safe and healthy.
