CHANCROID

DESCRIPTION:

A treatable bacterial infection that causes painful sores. Chancroid is a highly contagious yet curable sexually transmitted disease (STD) caused by the bacteria Haemophilus Ducreyi [hum-AH-fill-us DOO-cray]. Chancroid causes ulcers, usually of the genitals.
