  • Dental Health Professional Shortage Areas (DHPSAs)
    Dental health professional shortage areas (DHPSAs) are those parts of RI that meet specific federal criteria utilized to assess shortages of dental health care providers. The purpose of DHPSA designations is to identify areas with insufficient capacity and prioritize limited state and federal resources towards areas of highest need.

    Selected RI Department of Health data sets are presented in graphical format, data tables and full reports for the Behavior Risk Factor Survey (BRFS), RI Health Interview Survey (HIS), and the Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS).
  • RI KIDS COUNT
    RI KIDS COUNT is a children's policy and advocacy organization that provides information on child well-being, stimulates dialogue on children's issues, and promotes accountability and action.

National Data

  • CDC Data Systems
    Oral health data systems monitor the prevalence of oral diseases and the factors influencing oral health, such as risky or protective behaviors, the availability of preventive interventions and utilization of preventive services. The systems bring together existing data from multiple national and state sources and present the data in useful and accessible formats for the broad community interested in promoting oral health.
  • Census 2000
    Census 2000 provides i nformation about the 115.9 million housing units and 281.4 million people across the United States in a variety of formats and media, including the Internet, CD-ROMs, DVDs, and printed reports.
  • Child Trends DataBank
    Child Trends DataBank is a "one-stop-shop for the latest national trends and research on over 90 key indicators of child and youth well-being, with new indicators added each month."
  • Healthy People 2010
    Healthy People 2010 challenges individuals, communities, and professionals to take specific steps to ensure that good health, as well as long life, are enjoyed by all.
