Dental Health Professional Shortage Areas (DHPSAs) in Rhode Island*

Dental health professional shortage designations are based on the evaluation of criteria established through federal regulation to identify geographic areas or population groups with a shortage of dental health services. Qualified facilities in designated DHPSAs are eligible for a variety of federal programs to increase the supply of dental health care providers to underserved communities.
