RI Oral Health Program

Vision & Mission

The Oral Health Program (OHP) at the RI Department of Health envisions optimal oral health for all Rhode Islanders.

The OHP mission is to improve the oral health of Rhode Islanders through:

  • Oral health and public health leadership to enhance community efforts through prevention, control, and reduction of oral diseases;
  • Planning, implementing, and evaluating oral health promotion and disease prevention programs in collaboration with key partners; and
  • Working with partners to build and sustain community capacity for high-quality, culturally-sensitive oral health services.
