Rules & Regulations
Dental Amalgam, Management of Waste The Narragansett Bay Commission (NBC) has developed the following set of Environmental Best Management Practices (BMPs) for the Management of Waste Dental Amalgam to help the dental community safely and economically reduce the amount of mercury released into the environment.
Dentists, Dental Hygienists, and Dental Assistants
These rules and regulations are established for the purpose of:
- Governing the licensure of dentists and dental hygienists;
- The practice of dentistry as it pertains to dentists, dental hygienists and dental assistants;
- Continuing education for dentists and dental hygienists;
- The administration of general anesthesia/deep sedation, inhalation conscious sedation, combined conscious sedation, parenteral conscious sedation, and/or nitrous oxide analgesia; and
- To establish administrative procedures for the implementation of the statutory and regulatory provisions.
Radiation Control
These rules and regulations are established for the purpose of establishing radiation control standards for the protection of radiation workers and the general public.
School Health Programs & Dental Screenings
