Letter to RI Health Providers: Reimbursement of health care for those persons displaced by Hurricane Katrina 
Volunteers with clinical professional licensure (MD, DO, NP, LPN, RN, CNA, PA, EMT, DMD/DDS, RDH) should contact the RI Medical Reserve Corps at 401-615-9158. People who do not have a medical license but would like to volunteer their administrative or logistical skills are also encouraged to call.

PSA on newborn screening for babies who may not have been screened in LA
A public service announcement is expected to be released in Louisiana in the next day or so advising Hurricane Katrina affected parents whose babies may not have been screened for heel-stick testing to check with their doctor. If information is not available from their doctor, they are advised to call 800-447-1985 for confirmation that their baby has been screened. If you get inquiries in your state about Louisiana babies who may have been displaced to your state, please refer them to this number. Birthdates included in the PSA are August 15 through September 21, 2005
