Electronic Data Submission

The Department of Health can now accept electronic water quality data from environmental laboratories behalf of public water suppliers.   The web-based system  provides an alternative to submitting hand-written or paper-based reports.  It is fast, efficient, and requires less processing for labs and the state. All of the necessary legal, security, and electronic signature functions have been included in the system so that reporting can be completely paperless. Water Systems must register to authorize laboratories to submit results on their behalf. Laboratories must register to acknowlege that they have read and agree to the terms and conditions and to indicate the names of specific persons who will be submitting data.

How to Submit Electronically
  • Read the manual.  The User’s Manual provides instructions for registering a Laboratory creating an account and password, and obtaining a Personal Identification Number (PIN) used for certification of electronic submissions of laboratory data.
  • Register your lab.  The Laboratory Director must complete, sign, notarize, and submit an Agreement to the Terms and Conditions for Electronic Drinking Water Quality Data Submission. This form indicates the Lab or system’s intent to participate in the program according to specified terms and identifies the individuals who will have Administrator access to the Reporting System. A minimum of two Administrators is recommended, usually the Lab Manager and / or Quality Assurance Officer. The Responsible Official may also server as the Administrator.
  • Water systems check that laboratories have been on your behalf. Laboratories may only submit public water supply data with the explicit approval of suppliers. If this has not been done you need to file a Labortory selection form with this office.
