Healthy Homes and Environment TeamEnvironmental Health Risk Assessment ProgramPoison Control and Prevention Regional Center for Poison Control and Prevention Serving Massachusetts and Rhode Island Prevention is better than treatment. The Regional Center for Poison Control and Prevention (RCPCP) Rhode Island Poison Control Center (RIPCC) Program RIPCC collaborates within HEALTH’s public health programs and Rhode Island’s Office Health and Human Service members to utilize their resources in distribution of educational materials. The RCPCP works to reduce both unintentional and intentional poisons through public education, outreach and promote services. To advance these strategies, the RCPCP, in conjunction with American Association of Poison Control and Prevention (AAPCC), has developed a number of materials including brochures, refrigerator magnets, telephone labels to help equip Massachusetts and Rhode Island educators and residents with poisoning prevention tools.
