KIDSNET DATA

KIDSNET Data Book, 2006 pdf
KIDSNET Data Book, 1997-2004 pdf

KIDSNET contains information about child health in Rhode Island and uses these data for public health purposes to monitor trends and gaps in children’s healthcare services. KIDSNET data can be used to:

  • Refer high-risk newborns to appropriate services;
  • Identify children behind on immunizations;
  • Sends postcards to remind parents about the importance of having their child screened for lead poisoning;
  • Produce monthly provider reports for lead screening and immunizations;
  • Identify excess vaccine usage;
  • Identify un-immunized children in a suspected outbreak;
  • Conduct research about certain vaccine use (i.e., Rotavirus);
  • Identify children who are participating in WIC who were never lead screened; and
  • Review lead levels of home visited children.

If your organization is interested in requesting aggregate numbers or reports for statistical purposes from KIDSNET, such as “total number of children born in 1998 who have ever been tested for lead,” please download the Data Request Form pdf and contact KIDSNET as indicated on the form. You can also review the KIDSNET Data Sharing and Release Policy.pdf

Please remember that no individual information is released to any party without the proper release of confidentiality by written agreement and by following all the appropriate laws.
