About the Programs

Pediatric Specialty Services

The Pediatric Specialty Services Program coordinates care for children with special healthcare needs and their families. Access to specialty evaluations, services, and resources is monitored through contract management. Coordination of specialty pediatrics is accomplished through specific projects. Some of these include:

  • Collaboration with Rhode Island’s care coordination system CEDARR (Comprehensive, Evaluation, Diagnosis, Assessment, Referral and Re-evaluation).
  • Development of disability resource guides including: Raising Children with Special Healthcare Needs Complete Care Notebook, Rhode Island Resource Guide for Families of Children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, and Rhode Island Resource Guide for Families of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
