Hospital Information for the PublicGovernanceThe governance of a hospital sets the organization policy that supports quality patient care. It does this by developing the mission, vision, policies, and bylaws that govern the hospitals operations.
GovernanceThis area reflects an evaluation of how well the hospital's governing body demonstrates accountability and responsibility for the patients served. Surveyors evaluate whether the hospital has a functioning governing body; whether the accountability of the governing body is clearly identified; whether there are rules and regulations or bylaws governing the body's actions; and whether there are records of the governing body's proceedings. |
