Hospital Information for the Public

The Rhode Island Department of Health, Division of Health Services Regulation, is pleased to make hospital accreditation information available to the public to help evaluate the quality of care provided by the state’s licensed and accreditated hospitals. To be a licensed hospital in the State of Rhode Island Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) is required. The information presented comes from JCAHO. The JCAHO has been accrediting hospitals for more than 40 years. Accreditation by the JCAHO is recognized nationwide as a "seal of approval" which indicates that a hospital meets certain performance standards.
