Application Requests

The licensed dietitian/nutritionist is a person engaged in the practice of dietetics, which is the professional discipline of applying principles derived from the sciences of nutrition, biochemistry, psychology, management, and behavioral and social sciences in the provision of dietetic services.  Licensees have completed a baccalaureate or post baccalaureate program in dietetics, 900 hours experience in dietetic practice and a Registration Examination for Dietitians approved by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.

The Rhode Island Department of Health is accessible to the handicapped.  Individuals requiring interpreter services for the hearing impaired must notify the Office of Health Professionals Regulation at least 48 hours in advance.  For any information regarding the above meetings, please contact the Board Administrator listed at the bottom left of this page.
