2007-2008 School Event Schedule
The Rhode Island Department of Health would like to remind high school students and their parents that employers, colleges and training programs have immunization requirements against dangerous vaccine preventable diseases.
In Rhode Island, immunizations are provided at no cost to all children through age 18. The cost for a full series of childhood immunizations for an adult can cost as much as $900.00 for boys and $1200 for girls.
In order to protect Rhode Island's young adults from disease HEALTH works to ensure that no child transitions to adulthood with any missing vaccinations. This is done through a program available to high school seniors called Vaccinate Before You Graduate. |
