"Vaccines have been protecting our children from deadly infections since my grandparents' childgeneration. It is a fact that vaccines have saved more lives and prevented more illnesses than any other medical treatment. From my perspective, I know that continuing to ensure that our children are fully vaccinated with licensed vaccines is essential to their individual health. From my perspective in public service, I know that each immune child is the foundation toa safer nation, free from outbreaks.

It is critical that children continue to receive all vaccines according to currently recommended schedules. Unfortunately, none of the childhood diseases against which our children now receive vaccines has been eradicated. The risk of measles, whooping cough, polio, diphtheria tetanus and bacterial meningitis remain all to real in the modern world."
