In Rhode Island, all students entering public and private preschools and schools must be age appropriately immunized in accordance with the State of Rhode Island Rules and Regulations Pertaining to Immunization and Testing for Communicable Diseases. The requirements are based on national recommendations from groups such as the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and input from Rhode Island’ s medical community.
