Welcome to the Lead Poisoning Prevention Program website!
The Rhode Island Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program (RI CLPPP) is pleased to offer you general information about lead poisoning, how to prevent it and educational materials you can use to learn more about lead. We also have several reports and data that we hope you find helpful.
RI CLPPP coordinates statewide efforts to reduce lead poisoning in Rhode Island’s children. We hope this site will help parents, property owners, legislators, healthcare providers, and the general public learn how to help eliminate childhood lead poisoning in Rhode Island.
To comply with the Lead Poisoning Prevention Act, the Lead Poisoning Prevention Program conducts a number of efforts to support, measure, and monitor lead screening.
Through enforcement of the Rhode Island Rules and Regulations for Lead Poisoning Prevention, Real Estate Disclosure Rule, and the Pre-Renovation Education Rule, the Environmental Lead Program continues to reduce the incidence of lead poisoning in Rhode Island, and create a safer living environment for all Rhode Islanders.
