Highest Risk Premises Public List

The properties contained in this list have been declared unsafe for habitation by children under age six (6), because multiple poisonings have occurred and the property has not been made lead safe after being required by the Department of Health to do so.

The list is compiled through the following process:

1. The property owner is notified that the premise presents a high risk of lead poisoning. A property is considered as being high risk for lead poisoning when both of the following conditions have been met: (a) there have been three or more children under age six living at the premise with at least environmental intervention blood lead levels, and (b) fifty percent (50%) of children under age six from the premise who have been tested have had at least environmental intervention blood lead levels.
2. The property owner must then either (a) conduct a comprehensive lead inspection of the high-risk property within thirty (30) days, that shows that lead hazards have been corrected to the lead safe standard; or (b) present a compliance schedule to the Department of Health for approval, and conduct a comprehensive lead inspection that shows that lead hazards have been corrected to the lead safe standard within ninety (90) days.
3. If the property owner fails to comply, the premise in question will be declared unsafe for human habitation by children under age six (6), and will be placed on a public list.
