HEALTH Recommends Re-Opening Warren Town Beach, Warren; Not Swimming at King Park Swim Area, Newport
Department of Health (HEALTH) officials recommended the re-opening of Warren Town Beach for swimming. This recommendation is based on results from water samples that show bacteria levels within acceptable limits. HEALTH and the Town of Warren will continue to monitor the water quality regularly to assure safe bathing throughout the summer season.
Today, HEALTH advises not swimming at King Park Swim Area in Newport. King Park Swim Area is not yet officially open, but high bacteria levels have been detected. Officials will continue to monitor the water quality and recommend re-opening when the area is safe for swimming.
