HEALTH Recommends Opening City Park Beach

HEALTH officials recommended re-opening CITY PARK BEACH in Warwick for swimming. This recommendation is based on results from water samples that show bacteria levels within acceptable limits. HEALTH will continue to monitor the water quality regularly to assure safe bathing throughout the summer season.

A 400-foot section of beach separating the Atlantic Beach Club in Middletown and Easton's Beach in Newport; and Dyer Woods Campground remain closed.

As a reminder, Rhode Island has many excellent beaches. Currently, there are 117 licensed beaches open throughout the State.
