Walk the Rhode to Health
Health Department and Local Hospitals Launch Walking Program

Providence, Rhode Island, March 1, 2005, - The Rhode to Health Coalition, a collaborative including the RI Department of Health and community hospitals in Rhode Island, will launch a free monthly community walking program titled, “Walk the Rhode to Health”. The first walk will take place on March 12, 2005 at 9:00 A.M. at Lincoln Woods State Park. This program promotes walking as a safe, easy, low-to-no cost, and convenient way to be physically active. The walks will be offered each month in different locations around the state. (Schedule below)
