Health Department Releases 2005 Hospital Financial Dataset

Today, the Rhode Island Department of Health (HEALTH) released the Hospital Financial Dataset (2005) , detailing 1,700 data elements for Rhode Island’s 13 community hospitals and two health systems, Care New England and Lifespan.

“Researchers and policy-makers may use these data to analyze the state’s hospital system and to inform health policy.” said Dr. David R. Gifford, Director of Health.

The Dataset contains 4 years’ of information enabling trends in hospital performance to be identified. It is available, in Excel format, on HEALTH’s website, or may be requested from Bruce Cryan at 222-5123.
