HEALTH Recommends Beach Closings / Openings

The Department of Health (HEALTH) recommended the closure of ATLANTIC BEACH CLUB BEACH in Middletown,EASTON'S BEACH in Newport, and SCARBOROUGH STATE BEACH NORTH and SOUTH in Narragansett to swimming due to heavy rain events. Officials will continue to monitor the water quality and recommend re-opening when the areas are safe for swimming.
