HEALTH Recommends Beach Closings

The Department of Health (HEALTH) recommended the closure of CITY PARK BEACH in Warwick, GOVERNOR NOTTE PARK BEACH in North Providence and OAKLAND BEACH in Warwick to swimming due to high bacteria counts. Officials will continue to monitor the water quality and recommend re-opening when the areas are safe for swimming.

We urge the public to avoid feeding waterfowl at the beach and remind you to remove garbage to help reduce contamination by waterfowl.
