RI Health Department Advisory on Sweet Bread made at
Luzitania Bakery, 312 Barton Street, Pawtucket, RI
Luzitania Bakery of 312 Barton St. Pawtucket, RI is recalling approximately 76 loaves of Sweet Bread that contain egg, not declared on the ingredient statement.
People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to egg products run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.
These products were sold at their retail store at 312 Barton Street Pawtucket and at several retail markets in the Pawtucket RI, Attleboro MA, and Norton MA area.
There have been no reported illnesses associated with this product to date. Anyone concerned about an illness associated with this product should contact a physician immediately.
All food establishments are required to identify on the label all ingredients, especially the eight food groups that are the major food allergens. They are milk, eggs, fish (e.g., bass, flounder, cod), Crustacean shellfish (e.g., crab, lobster, shrimp), tree nuts (e.g., almonds, walnuts, pecans), peanuts, wheat, and soybeans. |
