Measles

Measles is one of the most contagious of viral rash illnesses that occurs in childhood. Measles starts with a cough, runny nose, watery eyes, fever and within 3 days a red blotchy rash appears on the face and spreads down the body. The illness lasts for 7 to 10 days and can be complicated by ear infections, pneumonia, or rarely encephalitis (inflammation of the brain).
