KIDSNET is Rhode Island’s confidential, computerized child health information system. KIDSNET serves families, pediatric providers, and public health programs.
KIDSNET started collecting information from all births in Rhode Island on January 1, 1997. KIDSNET also obtains information about children born out of state if they see a Rhode Island participating doctor or receive services at a KIDSNET participating program.
To facilitate the collection and appropriate sharing of health data with healthcare providers, parents, maternal and child health programs, and other child service providers for the provision of timely and appropriate preventive health services and follow up.
